Celebrating Local Excellence: Nominate Today for the Community ACE Awards
The B-17 Alliance ACE Awards is your chance to celebrate leaders, innovators, and peers who provide exceptional service to our communities.
Nominations are open for ACE Awards (Award for Commitment to Excellence and Service). These awards will recognize outstanding individuals whose dedication embodies service, leadership, and excellence.
Nominated leaders will be recognized for making our community stronger and providing an inspirational example of excellence in citizenship.
ACE AWARDS will be presented in the following categories:
- Military Excellence: A military leader from the Pacific Northwest.
- Advancing Education: A community leader advancing youth education in aviation.
- Restoring an American Legend: A veteran volunteer whose dedication has been vital to the Lacey Lady’s restoration.

name, the award category, and a brief explanation of why they deserve
recognition.
To complement the celebration, a Classic Car Club showcase will feature vehicles from the 1940s–1970s, illustrating the parallel evolution of American mechanics and aviation. Attendees will also experience an up-close look at the latest restoration milestone—the completion of the Plexiglas Nosecone and preparation for its attachment to the aircraft.
We will invite community members, dignitaries from other B-17 museums, and aviation enthusiasts from across the nation to join us in honoring history, innovation, and service under Lacey’s wings.
