The Mission Behind the Metal

The B-17 Alliance Foundation, an Oregon nonprofit corporation, is committed to the restoration of the Lacey Lady, the education of future generations, and the preservation of our shared history. Founded by The Bomber Gas Station family, dedicated veterans, historians, and aviation lovers, we exist to ensure that the sacrifices of the past are never forgotten—and that their stories continue to inspire.

The B-17 Alliance Foundation honors the American spirit of World War II. We honor the past, empower the present, and inspire the future through the preservation and restoration of the B-17 Flying Fortress and related WWII history.

We envision a future where young people understand the cost of freedom, where history is preserved through living experience, and where the Lacey Lady flies again as a flying classroom and tribute.
